Summary

The call of Samuel is more than a humorous anecdote on properly hearing God’s call. Rich symbolism invites us to consider our own vocation and response to God, engaging all of our senses. Hearing God’s Word is just the beginning of the story. God also equips us with eyes of faith, so that we may proclaim His Word to others.
