Summary
Luke tells a story of contrasts between a world breaking open with excitement and a young woman quietly pondering all that is happening. Mary’s life over these past nine months has been anything but the expected. Now as she brings forth her firstborn into the chaos of life, she reflects upon the joy that abides in spite of her circumstances, as well as upon the God who fulfills His promises in the most unexpected and unusual ways. We celebrate the gift of Jesus the Christmas, who brings great joy even in the most unlikely of places.
