The Kingdom of God Is Like a Fisherman…

Summary
It may not look like it, but in Luke 5, Jesus teaches Simon a valuable lesson about the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is a place of great abundance, but it's not only a place for the righteous. Even Simon, a "sinful man," is welcome there. Jesus uses this moment on the Lake of Gennesaret to invite both Peter and us to be his disciples---fishers of men. As we learn more about this kingdom, we are invited to share the gifts of that kingdom with those we meet.
