Seek the Kingdom

Summary
Jesus tells us today, “Do not be anxious…” Easier said than done! Many know or have heard what Jesus says next, “Seek [God’s] kingdom, and these things will be added to you.” A gentle reminder and admonishment to get our priorities straight. But how many know or focus their attention upon what Jesus says after that? “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” It’s not about your priorities. It’s not about your worthiness. It’s not about your anxieties. It’s all about God’s good pleasure in you. His love for you. Rest in the promise of this heavenly gift.
