Summary
Hikers are consistently warned to bring sufficient water for their journey. Water is necessary for life—wherever our paths may take us! In today’s Gospel story, Jesus’ thirst leads us to discover something about our own spiritual needs. Each of us, whether we realize it or not, thirst for the “living water” that only comes from God. Fortunately for us, that water is freely given. All we need is faith.
