Summary
Too often we build our lives on shaky foundations, and then we are surprised when things start collapsing. Jesus reminds us in his imagery of Matthew 7:24-27 that the only solid foundation is himself, the Rock of our salvation. On him alone we build. He calls us not just to be passive hearers, but dynamic doers as we put into practice what he teaches us in His Word. Only then can we be prepared to weather the storms of life.
