Mission:
The Outreach Ministry Team connects members of the church with the community, learns about the community, cares for lost people, and shares the love of Christ Jesus.

Activities:

• Greeters at Saturday, Sunday and all special services
• Foundations in Faith classes and reception for new members
• Community Easter Egg Hunt
• Fall Family Cookout (with Fellowship Team)
• Community Touch-a-Truck event (new for 2024)
• Visitor Gift Bags
• Christmas Mugs for visitors (with Adult Ministry)
• Palm Sunday Crosses for members and visitors
• Name Tag Weekends
• Community Garden
• Participate in Calvary events sponsored by other groups (e.g. Movie Night, PTL Trunk-or-Treat, Holiday Bazaar, Yard Sale)

Goals:

• Facilitate the introduction, orientation, reception and integration of new members into the congregation.
• Collaborate with other ministry teams to cultivate the integration of both new and existing members in church functions.
• Promote and direct congregation-wide community outreach endeavors.
• Emphasize outreach by supporting and encouraging other ministry teams with community outreach related projects.
• Collaborate with Calvary Lutheran School to encourage students and faculty to engage in outreach projects for the church and community.

Volunteer or participation opportunities:

• Be a Greeter for any service; contact the church office (317-783-2000) or Marvin Hansen ( )
• Help with Foundations in Faith Class for new members
• Help with the Easter Egg Hunt, Fall Family event, or Touch-a-Truck
• Pack Christmas mugs for visitors
• Help prepare and use the Community Garden
