The Parish Education Ministry Team is responsible for planning and implementing educational programs for both children and adults.  This includes Sunday School, other Sunday morning classes, and special educational opportunities such as the annual congregational study.

Mission: The Parish Education Ministry Team shall, by the power of the Holy Spirit, share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make opportunities for spiritual growth available to the body of Christ at Calvary Lutheran Church.

Activities:

1. Adult Bible Studies & Small Groups
2. Annual Congregational Study
3. Women’s Summer Bible Study
4. Sunday School – weekly, preschool through Grade 8
5. Inter-generational (Known and Loved monthly program)
6. Nursery (for ages 3 and under during Sunday services and Education Hour)
7. EPIC Center Library
   The mission of the EPIC Center Library is to bring the blessings, the joy, and the richness of books to the Calvary family, to help Calvary members with reading recommendations, to make books available to the Calvary family and the community through our book sales, and to hold book discussions at the 9:30 hour which provide opportunities for Calvary members to share their views of the book under study.

Goals:

• Support and encourage the formation and resourcing of congregational small groups.
• Provide and promote volunteer opportunities via nursery and Sunday School.

Opportunities for volunteering:

1. Short-term and long-term teachers for adult classes
2. Small group leaders, hosts, and participants
3. Weekly Sunday School teachers & substitutes
4. Support team to assist occasionally with Sunday School and other children’s ministry activities
5. Nursery assistance
