Summary
Jesus invites us at the most unlikely times to grow in our trust of Him. On the night that Jesus would be betrayed, arrested, and prepared for trial, he invited the disciples to grow in their trust and belief in him. The disciples, on the other hand, desperately wanted Jesus to give them the details. Like the disciples, we often want the details, but Jesus offers Himself. We want assurances. He wants trust. Today, Jesus invites us not only to trust who he is, but also who we are in Him—a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a treasured possession of God.
