Unworthy Servants

Summary
When someone gives us a compliment, it can go to our head, but in today's Gospel, Jesus encourages the disciples to think of themselves as unworthy servants. Jesus does not leave us to wallow in self-pity, however. When we acknowledge our own failures and struggles, especially our unworthiness, Jesus' death and resurrection remind us that we are valuable in God's eyes. We are worth everything to him!
