Everything about Luke 13:31-35 seems off. The Pharisees are concerned about Jesus’ safety. Jesus responds to the rejection of Jerusalem with continued longing for their receptivity. How would we respond to the evil and hatred sent our way from others? How instead does Jesus respond? In this ever-changing world, do we find our hearts growing colder, harder, and more jaded to the needs and concerns of others?
