Summary
In John 6, first the crowds come seeking physical fulfillment, as they had eaten the bread of the feeding of the 5,000. But now Jesus reveals to them that they have a spiritual problem that cannot be filled by physical food. Jesus repeatedly offers to fill them with himself and his gifts. And yet they are willing to walk away from the true “food” that sustains the soul! In John 6, Jesus asks us, "Do you trust me?" More specifically he asks, "Do you trust me enough to let go of control?”
