Summary
As we continue our Lent series, Restore the Roar, we hear the interaction between Amos and Amaziah, the Priest at Bethel. While Amos hopes to inspire Amaziah to take steps to correct the injustice lived by the poor in Israel, Amaziah only wants to silence Amos and keep the status quo. Knowing that God is behind him, Amos continues to prophesy boldly about the power of the God and with the power of God. When we seek to bring justice to God’s creation today, we should do so with the confidence of knowing that the lion of of Judah, God, is on our side.
