What is the deal with Jesus being so concerned about seating assignments and guest lists, as he sits down to dine with a Pharisee and his friends? We soon see that there is more than meets the eye in this section of Luke 14. He is not simply giving us tips on etiquette, but speaking of deeper issues of trust, acceptance, and grace in the kingdom of God.
