Scripture makes clear time and time again that Christans are supposed to be watchful as we wait for the return of Jesus. In our Epistle reading, Paul challenges us to walk in the light as we wait, not in darkness; he challenges us to make our waiting about love. But what is the motivation behind our love? As we wait for Christ's return, our love comes from hope, and hope changes everything.
