Bittersweet? Or Triumphant?

Summary
We join our voices with the crowds at Palm Sunday, shouting, "Hosanna!" "Save us!" But our Palm Sunday worship is so often marred by the knowledge of what follows these hosannas. Jesus is crucified for our sins. He suffers the price we deserve. In the midst of our celebration and repentance, we are reminded of Jesus' assertion in John 10 that no one takes his life from him. Rather, he lays his life down of his own accord, for our sake. Jesus knows our sin. He comes anyway... to save. Hosanna!
