2025 Congregational Study:
“In the Footsteps of the Savior: Following Jesus through the Holy Land” by Max Lucado
Calvary will host a special sermon series and bible study opportunity from Oct 18/19 through Nov 22/23. This year's study is a video based small group Bible study with optional companion book by Max Lucado entitled, “In the Footsteps of the Savior.” You can do the study entirely on your own or you can join a small group study to help you process what you learn, providing you additional encouragement and insights from fellow Christians.
Theme and Summary:
Join Max Lucado on an inspirational journey through the hills, the dust, and the homes of the Holy Land! Discover, with new eyes, God's heart for his people and his deep love for you. In this six-session video Bible study, you and your small group are invited to come with Max through Capernaum, Galilee, Bethany, Jerusalem, and more. Max weaves together insights from his own travels to Israel and his extensive preaching, teaching, and study, as he guides you to walk where Jesus walked and ponder the promises he made.
Sessions include:
- Capernaum: Following Jesus When You Doubt
- Sea of Galilee: Following Jesus in Your Storms
- Mount of Beatitudes: Following Jesus When You Worry
- Temple Steps: Following Jesus … And Only Jesus
- Garden Tomb: Following Jesus When You Need Hope
- Caesarea by the Sea: Following Jesus When You Need Grace
